Food is alright, the service is bad.
Our server was sitting 3 booths away facing us and did not come up once to refill drinks or ask if we need anything.
At the end of our meal i saw him look up at me knowing that we were done and still wasn't bringing our check. I had to come up to him for the check which was already sitting there in front of him ready.
We were literally the only people in there for lunch @1PM so there was no excuse for the bad service.
Also, our dumplings were broken and the juice on the inside was coming out.
So they were bland unfortunately…

Order General Tao's extra spicy. Chicken was way overcooked. Some of the pieces were so hard they couldn't be eaten ?. Fried rice was excellent.

This restaurant has very decent authentic Chinese cuisine. The presentation is also pretty good. We liked cumin beef best. This being said, most dishes are a bit pricey , especially with smaller than usual amounts. In addition, be aware that the menu is not updated with the recent increased prices. You may be a bit surprised to see the bill is more than the listed prices.

Was wanting some Chinese food, so went to online and started a search from Gallup to Grants, to Flagstaff and looked for the good rated Chinese place. After reading, I decided on Hot Wok. Upon pulling up, there was plenty of parking. It was about 1 hour before closing time.

The young lady who took my order was very friendly and quickly answered my questions when it came to the menu. The to-go order came out quick. Took about 5 minutes. I ordered the Mongolian beef with dried rice ($11.99) and a side of plain noodles ($3.99). The Mongolian beef was chewy. Didn't taste like it was just freshly cooked. It had A LOT of onions in it! It was more half onions and half chewy/"soggy" beef. It did have a good flavor. I do like spicy, so next time I'll request it to be added. The fried rice surprisingly really was just rice with whatever the chef used to make it give a little brown color (soy sauce maybe?) Not really had vegetables in it like it normally comes in fried rice. It had only 2 peas in it! My order came to $18.85

Their dinner special came with choice of soup, choice of rice, crab wonton and/or egg roll, choice of main dish. Price starting at $15.99.

They do have an Asian store attached to the restaurant that I perused while waiting for my order. They had a steady stream of people coming in to place orders and even had app orders (like Door Dash/Uber Eats.)

Overall, a good experience. Would I return here if passing through again? Yes. Next time, I'll also order a Boba tea.

We always make a point to stop by here every time we are in town. We have loved it every time. Everything has always been on point. The service is quick and friendly the waiter that is always there is by far my favorite. He is so up beat and helpful it makes our time there even better. Just went back today and I hot the spicy sizzling squid and my daughter got something seafood with the word fun in it haha. She loved it sooo much and mine was delicious. We also got a Taro Bubble Tea and it literally tasted like the Boba was freshly made. So delicious!
