We were lucky enough to book our stay here based on reviews and had an amazing visit. We had a room with a large balcony out the back with a beautiful and tranquil view of pastures and the Black Forest. The room was clean and spacious with excellent ventilation, a big help since there is no air conditioning. Breakfast in the Cafe is included in the price and was served rather than a buffet. Eggs cooked to order and very attentive service. 5 stars. The owner was wonderful with some great selections of places to visit. This was our favorite stay on our trip. It is located off the beaten path and out in the country yet not far from a several attractions in the Black Forest.

The fourth time coming here, the black forest cake is outstandingly delicious. Not too sweet, not too heavy in the cherry liquor, perfectly balanced... definitely worth a visit! 🍰🍒♥️

We are so glad we chose this beautiful mountain Gasthof as our base for the week! We were made very welcome by the family owners & staff who went out of their way to make our stay as relaxing as possible. Our balcony view rooms were very comfortable & homely, especially with the sound of cow bells jingling in the morning! The breakfast was a joy & as for afternoon cakes in the cafe...we were like kids in a sweet shop! Gorgeous! Oh, and I forgot to mention the stunning scenery & views of the Feldburg mountain forests. All in all, a great place to chill out after long days exploring the area. Highly recommended.

Great location , friendly stuff , the furniture in our room looked a bit too old but the room was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast was nice and fresh but the food is served to you by the owner so you have no control on your portion size. Also , not very much fruits or veggies were served and no vegan options available.Our overall experience was very good

We spent 4 nights here its such a lovely typically Schwarzwald guest house. Extremely clean rooms, modern bathrooms, comfy beds and fabulous views across to the feldberg. Cows in the valley with their alpine bells tinkling and the bonus bit? They are a cafe too and sell Amazing cakes

The place feels like home, the welcoming and the hospitality were outstanding!! The room was spazious and worm. Dinner was great especially the gulash soup and the cakes!! But moat of all the view was stunning! We definitely recommend 🙂

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spazious and worm. Breakfast is included and its very good, and desserts are homemade. The hotel feels realy like home, great hospitality by the family that manages the hotel.
